THIS IS A BRAND NEW DAMASCUS STEEL CHEF KNIFE COMPOSED BY FORGE/ PATTERN WELDING 1095 & 15N20 (HIGH AND LOW CARBON STEELS). ALTERNATE LAYERS OF HARD AND SOFT METAL IMPART BOTH FLEXIBILITY AND TOUGHNESS COMPARED TO THE SOLID HOMOGENEOUS BLADE MATERIAL. THE FINISHED BLADE SHOWS THESE SUPERB PATTERS. DAMASCUS STEEL IS RENOWNED FOR ITS EDGE HOLDING CAPABILITIES. THIS BLADE IS MANUALLY HONED AND ITS EDGE IS NOTHING LESS THAN RAZOR SHARP.
